Born to a Canadian mother of British ancestry and a father of Tsimshian Heilitsuk lineage, Arthur’s passion for art has been life-long.
As a young boy, Arthur was constantly aware of the scenery around him and as a teenager was sketching and drawing, trying to capture the coast he loved.
Self-taught and gifted with talent, Arthur has constantly explored his creativity, always giving back to the community through his art which embodies a profusion of visual poetry and is his means of storytelling.
Arthur’s belief that we need to care and take care of each other has always been a strong part of his path through life. “I work to capture experience, the beauty of nature, and my heritage with its legends and my memories."
