Margaret (Peg), a native of northern Minnesota, teaches women's studies at the University of Maine where she is also a faculty associate of the Center on Aging at the University.
Her books include "Fierce with Reality: an anthology of literature about aging", which grew out of her graduate studies in gerontology at San Francisco State University.
She lives in a small fishing village on the eastern coast of Maine.
