Memories of Queenswood

'Spiritspace' many years ago, sharing, caring, Sister Patricia's many great talents and blessings, sacred ground it is.

Memories of Queenswood

Thank-you for sharing this 'gem' in the city-it has been a very restorative and peaceful experience. I wish for the library to continue to engage the mind and spirits of many to come!

Memories of Queenswood

I came here first for Sister Pauline's "Inner Healing." Then we started the 12 Step retreat-1982. I also remember bringing 2 grandchildren to the pool and Sister Marguerite and Sister Betty would give them cookies. Many Xmas' here and using the library for books on Gandhi and Mother Teresa before I went to India 4 times. Many anger and Yoga retreats here come to mind. God Bless the precious, Florence Simpson

Memories of Queenswood

Queenswood has been a Godly oasis in a secular society. For over 10 years it's been a place where I have been inspired, healed and sang. It's been a place where my musical creativity has been nourished, where I have taught others and learned much. The honoring of the Divine permeates the atoms of each corner and that tangible serenity will long linger here. Thank you Sisters and all who brought us this gift for so many years. In harmony and gratitude, Nancy Watters

Memories of Queenswood

O Dear Queenswood, a part of you will always be with me, in me...You've taught me to STOP...and discover God within. You've helped me to listen to the intimate teacher within. You've helped me to rest in the arms of God, like a baby cradled in it's mother's arms. I've swung in your arms freed up from life's inherent stresses. I've learned to let go and give over all that I am and have tried to become a vessel for your work. O Nature my restoration, my healer, my portal into the arms of God-Mother tree.

Memories of Queenswood

Queenswood has been at times a mirror, a womb, a miracle. It was a place that let me experience my darkness, and slowly begin to unclench my grasp on it. Thank you

Memories of Queenswood

With Spiritspace, I literally found my own soul and a place where I could wander and wonder. The people who cared about me also helped me care for myself and my spirit. Memories of Queenswood

Queenswood has been a spiritual doorway for me to access healing of mind, body and spirit. Reiki with the passionate Sister Eileen and her dedicated Reiki companions allowed me the sanctuary to heal from my cancer and the effects of Chemo. I was profoundly moved by the compassion and healing support given to me. This is a place of devotion, of surrender, of love. It is a sacred place and should therefore be sustained as such. I weep to think of it going. With love, Barbara

Thanks to Allanah the blessed cello for directing me to Queenswood in May, 2010-my life has found new dimensions through visits here-Amen-With Love from Lynn Thompson.

Memories of Queenswood

I have done Volunteer work on Wednesdays for the last 2 years. I have found my time spent here to be a source of inspiration; not only for the contact with nature but especially the contact with the people and the "spirit" that permiates the place. I truly hope the projects can continue elsewhere. Ray Painchard

Memories of Queenswood

Queenswood has been a place of refuge, peace, strength, inspiration and love during times of intense stress ( multiple losses of family members, fibromylagia). I have benefited greatly from a gift of a retreat stay here, Reiki Leve 1 training, Yoga, Spiritspace, and counselling. I am so sad to see this wonderful place go and pray that somehow it could reopen. Thank you Marion
