Haiti Benefit Concert brings Queenswood total to $20,000

Queenswood presented its second benefit concert for Haiti on June 5, raising more than $4000 for rebuilding.   Net proceeds and donations will go directly to rebuilding schools and medical clinics run by the Sisters of St. Ann in Haiti. The benefit concerts have been a huge first step, and we are very grateful to the performers, volunteers,  and donors!

The June  concert featured  Michael Waters and Allannah Dow. We are deeply grateful for the performances of these artists, who approach their music as a spiritual art, exploring the deepest spaces and the highest realms with their sound.   For more information about the performers, visit www.ladybirdmusic.com.

Charitable tax receipts will be issued for donations made at the concert or online at www.queenswoodvictoria.ca/support.     The Queenswood concerts have raised over $12,000 so far, $8000 of which was matched by the federal government for a total of over $20,000 for Haiti relief to date.

Many thanks to all who made donations to rebuild and continue the educational and healthcare services provided by the Sisters of St. Ann in Haiti.
