Mystical Experience is universal. There have been moments when every person realizes that one is oneself, and no one else.
This was probably a very early memory. "Tomorrow I'm going to be five! I stopped still with amazement: fiveness was about to be mine! I had already had four. The whole world seemed to point to me in that instant. The world and I looked at each other. It was huge and I was me. I took another step, and the vision was gone. But it's still there, even now, even when I am not recalling it." (Margaret Visser, The Geometry of Love.)
How do I connect with what is happening in my life and in my soul? Wherever we are on the journey, we are always called to "wake-up".
Using prayer and art form, we will explore the "wake-up" calls of Meister Eckhart, Teilhard de Chardin, Hildegarde of Bingen, Mechtild of Magdeburg, Julian of Norwich and Kabir.
Meister Eckhart reminds us "the eyes with which we gaze on God are the same as those which gaze on us".
Series runs April 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 2007
